Inter owned winger Valentino Lazaro discussed Nerazzurri striker Romelu Lukaku, ahead of his side Borussia Monchengladbach’s Champions League clash against the Milanese side, in an interview with German media outlet Sport Bild yesterday, as reported by FcInterNews.

“Romelu is a goal machine. If he turns his back to the goal and then aims at the opponent, it is almost impossible to stop him.”

The 24-year-old Austrian, who is currently on loan with the Bundesliga side, will miss next week’s clash against Inter, but is hoping to have an impact in the return leg in December.

“If I scored it would be great, obviously it’s a special match for me.”

Lazaro, who is contracted to Inter until 2023, did not impress coach Antonio Conte in his first half-season in Milan. The player made 11 appearances across all competitions and provided two assists, but failed to truly adapt to Conte’s system.

He was loaned out to Premier League side Newcastle in the January transfer window and performed marginally better in England, but not enough to justify a permanent move.

The 24-year-old Austrian is now on loan with Borussia Monchengladbach, who have an option to purchase the former Red Bull Salzburg winger at the end of the season.
