Inter legend Evaristo Beccalossi has called upon struggling Inter attacking midfielder Christian Eriksen to do more during his time on the park.

Eriksen was brought on as a second half substitute and made absolutely no sort of impact on the match, something that has almost always been the case for him throughout his time with Inter, which began back in January when he joined on a four and a half year contract from Tottenham Hotspur.

The Danish national team player starred in the Premier League but has very seldom performed to that level whilst wearing the Nerazzurri shirt and this has meant he has found himself benched and only getting a few minutes here and there rather than play as a starter.

“He is part of the squad and much more is expected of him, I disagree with those who say that we have to find the right place for him,” Beccalossi explained during Italian radio station Radio 24 show ‘Tutto Convocati’ earlier on today.

“When one goes on the pitch he must demonstrate his strength and Eriksen must demonstrate more, because he has quality. This year Inter have a great squad, whoever stays off the train stays down. They have to wake up.”

Since joining the club Eriksen has made 29 appearances across all competitions to date, in which he has scored four goals and provided three assists for his teammates.

Beccalossi also touched upon Serie A and added: “I think it will be a particular season, Inter can win. then there are Atalanta and Napoli, while Juventus is being renewed. We must take advantage of it. Everything is abnormal, nothing is obvious.”
