Alessandro Bastoni Could Start For Inter Against Borussia Monchengladbach Tomorrow Italian Media Claims

Alessandro Bastoni could start for Inter in tomorrow night’s Champions League group stage opener against Borussia Monchengladbach according to a report in today’s print edition of Italian daily newspaper Tuttosport.

The Italian youth national team player missed Inter’s last match, the Milan derby, due to having COVID-19 but having returned two negative tests results recently, he is back at the disposal of Inter manager Antonio Conte.

Should the highly rated central defender provide the necessary physical guarantees ahead of the match then he will start in the three man defence at San Siro against the Bundesliga club.

The report from the Turin based news outlet goes on to explain that Ivan Perisic is also expected to be played at left wing-back against Marco Rose’s side.

The Croatian national team player has spent almost the entirety of his career as a winger but this season Inter manager Antonio Conte has opted to utilise him at wing-back, just like he did with great success last season with former winger turned wing-back Antonio Candreva.
