Inter manager Antonio Conte will have both Alessandro Bastoni and Stefano Sensi back at his disposal for tomorrow evening’s Champions League group stage opener with Borussia Monchengladbach according to a report in today’s print edition of Italian daily newspaper Corriere dello Sport.
Bastoni has now recovered from COVID-19, which caused him to miss this weekend’s Derby della Madonnina defeat to AC Milan, whilst Sensi missed the match due to suspension.
Roberto Gagliardini and Ionut Andrei Radu were tested for COVID-19 again yesterday and if they return negative results they will be able to return, although tomorrow’s match will come too soon for them given their recent inactivity. Ashley Young will meanwhile be tested today, as will the whole squad.
Uncertainty meanwhile remains when it comes to Milan Skriniar. Skriniar is currently quarantining in his native Slovakia and at the end of his 14 day quarantine period he will be tested again.
Probable Inter starting line-up (3-4-1-2): Samir Handanovic; Danilo D’Ambrosio, Stefan de Vrij, Alessandro Bastoni; Achraf Hakimi, Arturo Vidal, Nicolo Barella, Ivan Perisic; Stefano Sensi; Romelu Lukaku, Lautaro Martinez.
