A midfield trio of Nicolo Barella, Arturo Vidal and Radja Nainggolan could allow Inter manager Antonio Conte to have the balance he is seeking in his team according to a report in today’s print edition of Italian daily newspaper Tuttosport.

Barella and Vidal are practically certain to start week in week out whilst the third midfield role would appear to be up for grabs given the poor performances of Marcelo Brozovic and Christian Eriksen.

All of Barella, Vidal and Nainggolan can play in various roles in the midfield and a midfield made up of the three warriors would fully reflect the soul of former Italian national team boss Conte and allow him to have a defensive balance but still have the midfield make forays forward.

The report goes on to explain that after missing Inter’s recent matches, Nainggolan, who is back at the club after a loan spell last season, wishes to get himself into Conte’s squad rotation.
