Romelu Lukaku is an absolute certainty for Inter at this difficult moment that the club are experiencing according to a report in today’s print edition of Italian daily newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport.

Lukaku has started the season in fine form with him scoring an average of one goal in every game he has played for club and country.

The Belgian national team forward, who is the most expensive player in Inter’s history, can also boast a record scoring streak in European competition with him having scored in every one of Inter’s European competition fixtures since November 2019, a run of eight matches.

The report from the Milan based news outlet goes on to describe Lukaku as a crutch for Inter manager Antonio Conte to lean on at this complicated moment for the side, who have not started the Serie A season as they were expected to.

Inter have picked up seven points from a possible 12 and have conceded a total of eight goals in their opening four league matches.
