Inter striker Romelu Lukaku has stated that he and his Inter teammates must be stronger following their Champions League group stage draw with Borussia Monchengladbach tonight.

Lukaku gave Inter a deserved one-nil lead shortly after the half time interval but Borussia Monchengladbach responded with an equaliser soon after and would also take the lead shortly before the end of the game. Fortunately for Inter, Lukaku was there to save the day as he tapped home in the final minutes of the match.

“We have to be stronger, even the defence must do better,” the Belgian national team player explained in an interview with Italian broadcaster Sky Sport Italia following the full time whistle at San Siro.

Lukaku proceeded to add: “We conceded two goals for our mistakes, we missed a lot of chances and on this we have to be stronger because certain mistakes cost you.”

Lukaku joined Inter in the Summer of 2019 in a club record €65 million transfer deal from Manchester United. He has since went on to represent the club on 56 occasions, in which he has scored 40 goals and provided a total of six assists for his teammates.
