Inter manager Antonio Conte will be forced to do without Alexis Sanchez, Achraf Hakimi and possibly Stefano Sensi for at least Inter’s next two matches according to a report in today’s print edition of Italian daily newspaper Corriere dello Sport.

In last night’s Champions League group stage opener at home to Borussia Monchengladbach, Sanchez was substituted at half time due to him sustaining an injury to his right adductor muscle.

Achraf Hakimi meanwhile never played at all as just a few hours prior to kick off, UEFA communicated to Inter that the Moroccan had returned a positive COVID-19 test result.

Conte may also have to do without Stefano Sensi who did not even make it onto the bench for last night’s match, which finished 2-2.

Sanchez and Hakimi have joined an already have a long list of absentees including COVID-19 positive players as well as injured players, which is far from ideal for Conte at a time where Inter are playing every few days.

Inter take on Genoa on Saturday in Serie A and will then face Shakhtar Donetsk away from home in the Champions League on Tuesday.
