Neither Achraf Hakimi nor his Inter teammates have shown any symptoms of COVID-19 since the Morroccan was confirmed as COVID-19 positive according to a report in today’s print edition of Italian daily newspaper Corriere dello Sport.

The Moroccan national team player’s positivity was confirmed just hours before Inter’s Champions League group stage opener at home to Borussia Monchengladbach on Wednesday night and this was confirmed after Hakimi had been in training and in close contact with his teammates.

Fortunately nobody has shown any symptoms. The whole team were tested again yesterday and the results of these tests are expected today.

Whilst there cannot be absolutely certainty that no other players have contracted the virus, Inter are hopeful and optimistic that no more players have contracted the virus, which six other players, in addition to Hakimi, have either had and recovered from or currently got.

Alessandro Bastoni and Radja Nainggolan have both had it and recovered whilst Milan Skriniar, Ionut Andrei Radu, Roberto Gagliardini and Ashley Young all still have it.
