Nikola Milenkovic’s contract renewal talks with Fiorentina is getting more and more complicated according to a report in today’s print edition of Italian daily newspaper Corriere dello Sport.

The Serbian central defender’s contract with La Viola is up at the end of the 2021/22 season and Fiorentina have already confirmed that if he does not sign a contract extension, they will sell him to avoid losing him for nothing at the end of next season.

The report from the Rome based news outlet goes on to explain that Milenkovic could leave the Stadio Artemio Franchi club in a similar manner to how Federico Chiesa left the club for Juventus.

Fiorentina currently value Milenkovic in the region of €40 million and he is subject to interest from Inter. Inter manager Antonio Conte is in fact understood to deem the former Partizan Belgrade player as an ideal player for his three man defence.
