Inter central midfielder Matias Vecino is back in Barcelona to complete his recovery from injury according to a report in today’s print edition of Italian daily newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport.
The Uruguayan national team player underwent an operation on his knee near the end of last season and has not trained whatsoever alongside his Inter teammates in the time since his injury.
This report explains that Vecino is back in Barcelona to complete the recovery process and it now remains to be seen when he will be fully recovered and able to firstly make a return to training and then a return to action.
Vecino joined Inter in the Summer of 2017 from fellow Serie A club Fiorentina and is under contract with the club until the end of next season.
In his time with the club, the 29-year-old has made 96 appearances across all competitions to date, in which he has scored 11 goals and tallied six assists.
