Ashley Young has returned a negative test result for COVID-19 and has therefore recovered from the virus according to a report from the online edition of Italian daily newspaper Corriere dello Sport.
The veteran English wing-back is one of seven Inter players to have contracted the virus and following this negative test result he is now the third player to have recovered after the recoveries of Alessandro Bastoni and Radja Nainggolan.
From tomorrow Young will be able to train on an individual basis and although he will not play in tomorrow evening’s match against Genoa, it is hoped that he will be able to play in Tuesday night’s Champions League group stage match away to Shakhtar Donetsk.
With Young’s recovery from COVID-19, Inter now have four players left who are currently COVID-19 positive in midfielder Roberto Gagliardini, back-up goalkeeper Ionut Andrei Radu, central defender Milan Skriniar and wing-back Achraf Hakimi.
