It is still possible that Achraf Hakimi could play a part in Inter’s match against Genoa tomorrow according to a report from Italian news outlet FCInter1908.it.

Hakimi was confirmed as positive for COVID-19 just before Inter’s Champions League group stage opener against Borussia Monchengladbach and missed the match. He was subjected to another test yesterday and the test returned a negative result.

Inter have confirmed that he will be tested again and if he goes on to test negative again, Inter must get certification from ATS that his positive result was in fact a false positive.

Hakimi being able to play against Genoa is dependent on how quickly all of this happens in the event of a negative test result.

The highly rated Moroccan national team player joined Inter in a €45 million deal from Real Madrid in the Summer transfer window. He has made four appearances across all competitions to date this term, in which he has scored one goal and tallied two assists
