No further Inter players have tested positive for COVID-19 following the latest round of testing according to a report from the online edition of Italian daily newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport.
After Achraf Hakimi was confirmed as COVID-19 positive just hours before Inter’s Champions League group stage opener against Borussia Monchengladbach on Wednesday, the entire team were subjected to further testing yesterday and no further positive test results have come from this round of testing.
Ashley Young has tested negative as part of this latest round of testing and has therefore now recovered from the virus. He will be unable to play tomorrow against Genoa but could be included in Inter’s squad for Tuesday night’s Champions League encounter away to Shakhtar Donetsk on Tuesday night.
Inter currently have four players who are positive for COVID-19. In addition to Hakimi, Milan Skriniar, Ionut Andrei Radu and Roberto Gagliardini are all still positive.
