Former AC Milan defender Alessandro Costacurta discussed Inter coach Antonio Conte ahead of the Nerazzurri’s league clash against Genoa this evening when speaking with Italian broadcaster Sky Sports Italia.
“I think like Conte, in my opinion Inter have reaped less than what they’ve sowed.”
Inter are currently sixth in the Serie A table after four games, disappointing slightly considering their strong initial start.
The Milanese club won their first two games of the season against Fiorentina and Benevento, before dropping points in a tough draw with Simone Inzaghi’s Lazio.
After the international break, Inter’s squad was heavily impacted by Covid-19, which forced six players to miss the derby against rivals AC Milan.
The Nerazzurri lost the game 2-1, before suffering another disappointing draw against German side Borussia Monchengladbach in the Champions League.
Antonio Conte and the squad are hoping to bounce back with a win against the Rossoblu today, who are currently 11th in the table after a satisfactory start.
Inter’s next games are against Ukrainian side Shakhtar Donetsk in the Champions League followed by Parma next weekend.
