Inter coach Antonio Conte may start both Italian defender Andrea Ranocchia and Danish midfielder Christian Eriksen is today’s clash against Genoa, according to a report from today’s paper edition of the Rome based newspaper Corriere dello Sport.

The report details how the 32-year-old Italian centre back, who is contracted to the Nerazzurri until the end of the season, may earn his first appearance of the 2020/21 season, after previously remaining on the bench for all the games prior.

This would give Dutch defender Stefan de Vrij a rest ahead of next week’s Champions League clash against Shakhtar Donetsk, the report continues.

Eriksen may also start, allowing Conte to rest Chilean midfielder Arturo Vidal as Marcelo Brozovic would also feature. Belgian midfielder Radja Nainggolan may also appear off the bench, as he could start against Shakhtar next week.

Inter are looking to bounce back with a win after a disappointing 2-1 loss to AC Milan last weekend.
