Inter wing back Achraf Hakimi has celebrated his negative Covid-19 test with a post on his Twitter page earlier today.

The 21-year-old Moroccan wing back, who is contracted to the Nerazzurri until 2025, was forced to miss the Milanese club’s Champions League opener against German side Borussia Monchengladbach on Wednesday, after testing positive for the virus.

He tested negative the next day and a second negative test, which returned this morning, confirmed that he had not contracted Covid.

Hakimi is now travelling with the squad and will be available for today’s clash against Genoa.

The 21-year-old Moroccan wing back, who joined the Milanese club from Real Madrid in the summer in a deal worth around €40 million, has impressed since arriving in Milan, scoring one goal and providing two assists in four appearances under coach Antonio Conte.

Hakimi posted a photo of a roaring lion on his Twitter page with the caption: “I’m back.”
