Inter defender Milan Skriniar has still tested positive for Covid-19 and will miss today’s game against Genoa, according to a report from Italian broadcaster Sky Sports Italia earlier today.

The report details how the 25-year-old Slovakian defender is still in his home country of Slovakia, still testing positive for the contagion.

The player has already missed the Nerazzurri’s last two games due to Covid, and is likely to miss next week’s Champions League clash against Ukrainian side Shakhtar Donetsk.

Nerazzurri wing back Achraf Hakimi, who also missed the Borussia Monchengladbach game due to a positive Covid test, is available for today’s game against Genoa after two further tests both returned negative.

Skriniar, who is contracted to the Nerazzurri until 2023, was close to a move to Premier League side Tottenham in the summer transfer window, but a deal failed to materialise after Inter refused to give Spurs any discounts on the player.
