Inter striker Romelu Lukaku was clearly the best on the pitch in the Nerazzurri’s 2-0 win over Genoa yesterday, according to reports from the Italian press earlier today, as collected by Italian media outlet PassioneInter.com.

Lukaku received a 7.0 rating from Milano based newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport, who highlighted how the 27-year-old Belgian forward manages to be decisive even when he’s not having an extraordinary game, scoring a key goal.

The former Manchester United striker also received a 7.0 rating from Rome based newspaper Corriere dello Sport, who noted that yesterday’s goal was his seventh so far this season. He managed to unlock the game despite Genoa’s strong defensive efforts.

Italian media outlet PassioneInter agreed with a 7.0 rating, touching on his slightly disappointing performance on the first hour which was quickly replaced by becoming strong and definitive leader on the pitch, visible with his opening goal, after Nicolo Barella was brought on.

Finally, Lukaku received a 6.5 rating from Turin based newspaper Tuttosport, who touched on his marginally slow performance before striking home the opening goal.
