The 30-year-old Italian received a 7.0 rating from Milano based newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport, who commented on how he has confirmed that he can fit coach Antonio Conte’s tactical system and can provide strong backup to Achraf Hakimi.
He can also play on the left side, where he could even start regularly.
The former Manchester United player received a 6.5 rating from Rome based newspaper Corriere dello Sport, who touched on how he can play both on the left and right side, and how he works hard and puts in good passes.
Turin based newspaper Tuttosport agreed with the 6.5 rating, speaking about his ability to run for a long time and how he can easily start as the left wing back regularly.
Finally, Darmian received a 6.5 rating from Italian media outlet PassioneInter, who noted how the 30-year-old confirmed that he can fit Conte’s system and plays well both in the offensive and defensive phases of the game.
