Italian journalist Fabrizio Biasin discussed Inter’s important 2-0 win over Genoa yesterday in a post on his Twitter page after the game.

“It wasn’t a great game, but Inter didn’t get bogged down and came away very well thanks to their more consistent players, Barella, D’Ambrosio, Lukaku.

“And for once without conceding a goal. Once it was said “Lu always scores”. I’d say we can dust it off.”

Inter beat the Rossoblu 2-0 away in Liguria, in a tough and defensive match. The Nerazzurri dominated the game throughout and only conceded one shot, which was not on target.

Star striker Romelu Lukaku opened the scoring for the Milanese club in the 64th minute, a strong finish by the former Manchester United forward.

Italian defender Danilo D’Ambrosio secured the three points for Antonio Conte’s squad with a goal in the 79th minute.

Inter can now look ahead to their next game against Ukrainian side Shakhtar Donetsk in the Champions League on Tuesday, before they face Parma in the league next weekend.

The Milanese club needed a win after a recent period of poor form. Conte’s team won their first two games of the season against Fiorentina and Benevento, but dropped points to Lazio in a 1-1 draw and lost against AC Milan in the derby.
