Italian journalist Francesco Ordine commented on Inter’s key 2-0 win over Genoa yesterday in a post on his Twitter page.

“Darmian another good choice from Antonio Conte, Vidal as a regista does not convince, substitution to prevent Lautaro from becoming jealous of Lukaku.”

The 30-year-old Matteo Darmian, who is currently on loan from Parma with a buy option attached, made his league debut for the Nerazzurri, after first appearing against German side Borussia Monchengladbach in the 2-2 draw with the Bundesliga outfit earlier this week.

The player played well in his 80 minutes on the pitch, seemingly understanding coach Antonio Conte’s tactical system.

The Nerazzurri have bounced back after a period of slightly poor form. The Milanese club started the season well initially, winning their first two games against Fiorentina and Benevento, before stumbling against Lazio in a 1-1 draw and losing to AC Milan in the derby 2-0.

Conte and his squad can now look ahead to their next game, Tuesday’s Champions League clash with Ukrainian side Shakhtar Donetsk. Their next league game is against Parma next weekend.
