A report from today’s paper edition of the Milano based newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport has analysed the Inter squad’s performance in their 2-0 win over Genoa yesterday.
The report details how the best Nerazzurri player on the pitch was 27-year-old Belgian striker Romelu Lukaku, who scored the opening goal in the second half.
The former Manchester United striker was given a 7.0 rating, the same for Danilo D’Ambrosio, Andrea Ranocchia, Matteo Darmian and Nicolo Barella, who all performed well.
Italian defender Alessandro Bastoni and coach Antonio Conte were rated slightly lower, at 6.5, for a good but not extraordinary game.
Ivan Perisic, Achraf Hakimi, Christian Eriksen and Marcelo Brozovic all received a 6.0 rating for a satisfactory performance.
Disappointing were Andrea Pinamonti and Arturo Vidal, awarded a 5.5 rating for their efforts. Argentine striker Lautaro Martinez was the biggest disappointment, only registering a 5.0 rating for a fairly poor game by his standards.
Samir Handanovic, Radja Nainggolan and Aleksandar Kolarov all were not awarded ratings due to their limited contributions.
