A report from today’s paper edition of the Turin based newspaper la Stampa criticised the performance of Inter striker Lautaro Martinez in the Nerazzurri’s 2-0 win over Genoa yesterday.

The report details how the 23-year-old Argentine forward, who is contracted to the Nerazzurri until 2023, failed to impress in yesterday’s game, seemingly invisible and frustrated throughout the match.

He was involved in a small argument on the pitch between himself, Danish midfielder Christian Eriksen and Belgian striker Romelu Lukaku in the first half, showing his frustration in the game.

Lautaro was brought off in the second half in place of 21-year-old Italian forward Andrea Pinamonti and was visibly annoyed at the decision, even hitting the bench three times after coming off.

The player started the season well, scoring three goals in the first three games and providing one assist in that time, but he has not contributed to a goal in the last three matches.
