A report from today’s paper edition of the Milano based newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport has explained Inter striker Lautaro Martinez’s anger after being brought off in the Nerazzurri’s 2-0 win over Genoa yesterday.
The report details how the 23-year-old Argentine striker, who is contracted to the Nerazzurri until 2023, expressed his anger by hitting one of the seats in the stadium whilst sitting down, after being substituted off in place of Andrea Pinamonti.
The reason, the report continues, is because Alessandro Bastoni played a wrong pass that could have allowed the former Racing striker to make an attempt for goal.
Lautaro has not scored in the last three games, putting pressure on the 23-year-old Argentinian forward who started the season well, scoring three goals and providing one assist in the first three games.
The player was the subject of significant interest from Barcelona this year, with some suggesting that his dip in form at the tail end of last season was a result of the Blaugrana’s approaches.
