Inter manager Antonio Conte must be able to calm Lautaro Martinez ahead of tomorrow evening’s Champions League group stage match away to Shakhtar Donetsk according to a report in today’s print edition of Italian daily newspaper Corriere della Sera.

The highly rated 23-year-old started the 2019/20 season in fine form with him scoring a goal in each of his first three appearances but he has not scored since and was visibly annoyed with himself when substituted in this weekend’s match against Genoa as he punched the bench multiple times.

Against the Rossoblu, the Argentine national team player appeared to be nervous and made multiple mistakes in the match at the Stadio Luigi Ferraris.

The report goes on to explain that with Alexis Sanchez injured, it is necessary for Conte to calm Lautaro and recover the best Lautaro for the match in Kyiv against the Ukrainian powerhouses who he scored twice against in the Europa League semi final meeting between the sides last term.
