Inter’s Romanian goalkeeper Ionut Radu and Italian international midfielder Roberto Gagliardini have tested negative for COVID-19, Italian media outlet Gazzetta dello Sport report on their official homepage.
The Nerazzurri are slowly recovering all the players who had tested positive for COVID-19, with Gagliardini and Radu joining Radja Nainggolan, Ashley Young and Alessandro Bastoni in being declared free of the virus.
Gagliardini and Radu were together with Slovakian central defender Milan Skriniar the remaining 3 players who had contracted the virus, but now that number has reduced to just 1, namely the former Sampdoria defender.
This is a very welcome news for Inter coach Antonio Conte who spoke about Roberto Gagliardini being particularly important to allow Arturo Vidal to rest, in today’s press conference ahead of the Champions League match against Shakhtar Donetsk.
The former Atalanta player and the former Genoa goalkeeper wont be part of the Nerazzurri squad that travel to Ukraine but will begin training with the rest of the group upon their return.
