Intermediaries are in practically daily contact with Inter management with regard to enquiries made by teams across Europe according to a report from Italian broadcaster Sport Mediaset channel Canale 5 show ‘Pressing’, which was broadcast a short time ago.

There are many great clubs on the continent interested in signing the struggling Danish national team attacking midfielder but there is a big obstacle that clubs must overcome if they wish to sign him and that is his salary.

Eriksen earns about €7.5 million a year from his contract with the Nerazzurri, which expires at the end of the 2023/24 season.

The 28-year-old is, in a sense, a prisoner at Inter due to his salary and whilst the salary is absolutely an obstacle for potential suitors, the report insists that nothing should be excluded and the former Ajax player’s future could still be far away from Inter, where things have went far from well for him since his arrival back in January.
