Italian journalist Fabrizio Biasin discussed Inter’s 2-0 win over Genoa on Saturday in an interview with Italian broadcaster Sky Sports Italia yesterday.

“Yesterday they didn’t risk anything, they dominated the game. The first half was a bit tiring from a rhythm point of view, in the second half came the changes and goals for a team that has many players and variables even when players are missing.

“Barella came in, he is a certainty like Lukaku who scores in every game.”

He commented on the poor performance and frustrated reaction of Argentine striker Lautaro Martinez, who hit the bench three times after being substituted off in the second half.

“Lautaro can’t be a problem, the fact that he is angry is a good sign because he has all the desire in the world to score, Conte would be disappointed to see a player who is taken off and doesn’t care.

“Let’s hope he scores goals in the Champions League.”

He highlighted that fans and journalists cannot see the inner workings of the squad and should not presume Italian defender Andrea Ranocchia is unhappy with his low amount of playing time.

“On the outside we think there is always anger, in working squads there are always dynamics that are not always discussed.”

Finally, Biasin spoke about Inter as a whole and their current position in the title race.

“They have the most complete system in Serie A. Everyone wants to stay a bit covered due to the current situation.

“It’s an unknown that gives so many problems to the coaches but Inter are the most complete team and should not hide because it’s time for the jump in mentality quality.”

Inter are currently third in the league table after five games, sitting two points behind rivals and league leaders AC Milan, who can extend their lead at the top with a win over Roma tonight.

The Milanese club and coach Antonio Conte are now looking ahead to their next game, against Ukrainian side Shakhtar Donetsk in the Champions League tomorrow.
