Atletico Madrid manager Diego Simeone has taken a liking to Inter central midfielder Marcelo Brozovic according to a report from Spanish news outlet TodoFichajes.com.
Simeone has been watching Brozovic closely in recent months and Los Rojiblancos could benefit from the fact that Brozovic’s contract is due to expire at the end of next season.
Come the end of this season Brozovic will have just one year left on his deal with Inter and the report explains that he could leave Inter in the upcoming January transfer window as his price will drastically reduce if Inter wait until the Summer to try and offload him.
Inter currently value the Croatian national team midfielder at €50 million and would not accept any less than €30 million for the former Dinamo Zagreb player. Atletico Madrid may even opt to include a player in their bid to reduce the money they need to pay.
This season the 27-year-old has made seven appearances across all competitions to date but has failed to make any goal contributions.
