Italian football journalist Fabrizio Biasin has stressed that Inter must win the remainder of their games in the Champions League group stage.

The Nerazzurri drew their second consecutive group stage match on Tuesday evening away to Shakhtar Donetsk, who, like Borussia Monchengladbach, Inter were very much expected to beat.

Inter have just two points to their name after the first two matches in group B and are sitting in third place at the moment ahead of two consecutive group stage clashes against group favourites Real Madrid.

Antonio Conte’s side will then play Borussia Monchengladbach away from home on match day five and will conclude their Champions League group stage campaign at home to Shakhtar Donetsk.

“Inter dominated the game, creating many chances. They hit the bar twice, Lautaro sensationally missed an open goal from one metre and there was a penalty not given on Lukaku,” Biasin explained whilst present in the studios of Italian broadcaster Sport Mediaset, following last night’s match at the Kyiv Olympic Stadium.

“The Nerazzurri imposed their game in Kyiv, but they bring home only one point and with a draw in the Champions League you won’t go far.”

Biasin, who is a known Inter fan, proceeded to discuss what Inter must do and what they need: “It’s difficult to blame someone in particular, Inter played very well, perhaps they lacked the right determination. Now they have to win the rest of the games, it’s not impossible, you just need a little more luck.”
