Italian football journalist Fabio Ravezzani has taken to social media platform Twitter to ironically suggest that Inter would have had the perfect performance against Shakhtar Donetsk had it not been essential to score goals in football.

The Nerazzurri club were absolutely dominant in the match at the Kyiv Olympic Stadium against the reigning Ukrainian Premier League champions and had no shortage of chances to win the match but Antonio Conte’s side failed to capitalise on their chances.

Ravezzani posted: “Inter would have played a perfect match if it weren’t essential to score. Zero risks, two crosses, a penalty denied and at least two other scoring opportunities wasted: a miss-kick from Lautaro, worse player on the pitch. Eriksen came on almost reluctantly. Lukaku was great as always. Vidal was good.”
