Romelu Lukaku was Inter’s best performing player in last night’s match against Shakhtar Donetsk, a match in which no one player truly stood out, according to the player ratings published in today’s print edition of Corriere dello Sport.

The Belgian national team striker was one of the Inter players who came closest to scoring and having failed to score his streak of nine consecutive games in European competition was snapped. He was given a rating of 6.5 for his efforts in the match in the Ukrainian capital.

Samir Handanovic, Danilo D’Ambrosio, Stefan de Vrij, Alessandro Bastoni and Nicolo Barella were all meanwhile given ratings of 6/10 for their performances against the Ukrainian side, who surprisingly sit top of the group in the Champions League.

Achraf Hakimi, Marcelo Brozovic, Arturo Vidal, Ivan Perisic and manager Antonio Conte were all rated 5.5 whilst the worst performances of the night belonged to wing-back Ashley Young and striker Lautaro Martinez, who both got 5/10.
