Cagliari remain strongly interested in signing Inter central midfielder Radja Nainggolan according to a report from Italian news outlet CalcioMercato.com.

Nainggolan spent the duration of last season on loan at the Rossoblu club and they showed a real keen interested to sign him on a permanent basis during the Summer transfer window but ultimately could not agree terms with Inter.

Several foreign clubs have made enquiries but the Belgian central midfielder’s number one choice is a return to Cagliari for what would be a third spell with them.

Inter stood firm with their demands for the former Roma player and will continue to do so. In short, if someone wants him, they must meet Inter’s demands or they will not be signing him.

Nainggolan joined Inter back in the Summer of 2018 in a players plus cash deal from Roma and has since made 38 appearances across all competitions to date, in which he has scored seven goals and tallied three assists.
