Inter are prepared to more than double Lautaro Martinez current salary as part of a new contract according to a report from Italian news outlet CalcioMercato.com.
The highly rated Argentine national team player is currently under contract with Inter until the end of the 2022/23 season and currently earns €1.5 million a year.
As per this report, Inter are prepared to offer him a new deal worth in the region of €6 million a year plus add-ons and a deal being reached over a new deal is far from far away after months and months of negotiations between the parties.
Lautaro is having a tough time on the field at the moment but despite this Inter continue to have full confidence in him and a new deal could be a nice confidence boost for him and help him get out of his current slump.
This season the 23-year-old has made seven appearances across all competitions to date, in which he has scored three goals and tallied one assist.
