Inter have confirmed that striker Romelu Lukaku has sustained a muscle strain via an official statement posted on the club’s website moments ago.

In their statement, Inter stated that Lukaku underwent an MRI Scan earlier on today at the Humanitas institute in Rozzano after a problem encountered in Tuesday’s Champions League group stage draw with Shakhtar Donetsk and the scan confirmed that the Belgian national team forward has suffered a muscle strain in his left thigh.

Inter have went on to add that the former West Bromwich Albion player’s condition will be evaluated day by day and it now remains to be seen whether or not he will be available for this weekend’s Serie A match against Parma.

Lukaku, who is under contract with the club until the end of the 2023/24 season, has been Inter’s star man this term with him having scored seven goals in seven appearances across all competitions to date.
