Stefan Savic’s agent Zarko Pelicic has revealed that Inter have previously shown an interest in his client and confirmed that there has been no recent contact with the Nerazzurri club amid media speculation stating his client and Inter’s Marcelo Brozovic could be involved in a swap deal.

“I can tell you that the Nerazzurri, some time ago, really wanted Stefan but this is now in the past,” he explained in an interview with Italian news outlet FCInterNews.it.

He was then asked about the recent media reports and whether he has had any recent contact with Inter.

“I honestly, like him, have read this news in the media. Have I spoken to Inter in recent weeks? No, we have not heard from each other.”

He was then asked if he has had contact with Inter in the past few years and whether Inter could be an option for his client in the event he does not sign a contract renewal with Atletico Madrid.

“There is contacts in every transfer market period. He is happy at Atletico, but we will see what happens in the future.”

The Montenegrin has been with his current employers since 2015 and is under contract with them until the end of next season. This season the 29-year-old centre back has made six appearances across all competitions to date but has not made any goal contributions.
