Inter coach Antonio Conte discussed the Nerazzurri’s frustrating 2-2 draw against Parma earlier tonight in an interview with Italian broadcaster InterTV after the game.

“This is not the first time we have not materialised. We create a lot, we shoot a lot and not only with the forwards, but we need to become more clinical, more cynical.

“We can talk about everything in football, but in the end the goals count. We need to improve because, between today and Shakhtar, we are talking about two draws that leave a bitter taste in our mouths.”

The 51-year-old Italian coach commented on how the Gialloblu changed their tactical plan in order to limit the Nerazzurri’s strengths.

“But things get complicated because of us. If you score a goal, we would talk about a beautiful and narrow-minded match. If you don’t score, you give reason to the opponent who then defends.

“Today Parma changed themselves itself to limit us. Nevertheless, if we had been more determined and careful, we would be talking about a beautiful victory.

“Instead we are talking about a draw that must burn everyone. We can improve a lot, in front of goal and not only. Also, because we concede very little, but we concede goals.”

Finally, Conte spoke about how the anger from today’s result will be transformed into positive energy in their upcoming games against Real Madrid and Atalanta.

“Absolutely. If you look objectively at the performances, you are satisfied on the one hand, but on the other you are angry because you don’t get what you deserve.

“And we have to understand why we don’t deserve it.”

Inter’s disappointing results means that they are still fifth in the table after six games and could drop down a little depending on tomorrow’s results.

Inter have not beaten Parma at the San Siro in the league since April 2013, and that streak has again been extended, with Ivan Perisic’s late equaliser managing to steal a point back.

The Milanese club’s next game is against Spanish giants Real Madrid in the Champions League next week, before they face Atalanta next weekend.
