Inter coach Antonio Conte discussed the Nerazzurri’s disappointing 2-2 draw against Parma earlier tonight when speaking to gathered reporters in a press conference after the game.

First, he spoke about how the absence of 27-year-old Belgian striker Romelu Lukaku felt.

“I do not feel like talking about the absentees, it is not fair to the players who have given everything even today. What I regret is that we create a lot and we waste a lot.

“It is not the first time, we have to be more clinical and determined because it is something that is being repeated many times.

“We need to improve in finishing, we need to improve some situations like the ones that led to their goals.

He highlighted how their opposition, the Gialloblu, managed to find score off of both of their chances.

“Parma today were cynical, they scored 100%, two shots on target and two goals, we had about twenty shots against Sepe, probably better on the pitch.

“But we have to take our responsibilities because we were inaccurate, not only the forwards. To win we need to score goals.”

The former Chelsea and Juventus coach commented on the performance of Chilean midfielder Arturo Vidal.

“He entered well, he was coming from six consecutive games including the national team and we squeezed him well like a lemon also because I could not give him a bit of recovery, today I did.

“Arturo is a player with personality and experience, he is a good player.”

Finally, Conte spoke about the condition of Belgian midfielder Radja Nainggolan.

“I cannot make evaluations, Nainggolan entered and you can judge his performance. I do my evaluations and I try to bring everyone in the best condition.

“There are those who come first, those who come after and those who never do. The staff and I do everything we can to make the players perform at their best.”

The Nerazzurri dominated the Gialloblu in their 2-2 draw earlier tonight, having 25 shots on target compared to five.

Despite this, Parma were 2-0 up on Inter until Marcelo Brozovic found a glimmer of hope in the 64th minute, before Croatian forward Ivan Perisic managed to find an equaliser in the dying minutes of the game.

Inter are now 5th in the table after six games. Their next game is against Spanish giants Real Madrid in the Champions League.
