Inter have earnt around €5 million from the sale of Geoffrey Kondogbia from Valencia to Atletico Madrid, according to a report from Spanish media outlet AS earlier today.

The report details how the 27-year-old Central African Republic defensive midfielder was signed by Atletico to replace the outgoing Thomas Partey, who left to join Arsenal.

Atletico reached an agreement with Valencia for Kondogbia, purchasing the player for around €20 million.

Inter previously included a 25% re-sale clause when they sold the player to Valencia back in 2018, and so will earn around €5 million from his sale.

Kondogbia joined Inter in 2015 from Monaco but did not particularly impress and was sent to Valencia on loan after two seasons. He was also the subject of interest from AC Milan, before joining Inter.

The 27-year-old made 56 appearances for the Nerazzurri in his two seasons in Milan, for a total of 4233 minutes. In that time, he scored two goals and provided three assists.
