A report from today’s paper edition of the Milano based newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport has examined Inter’s squad and has compared them to inter-city rivals AC Milan.

The report details how the Nerazzurri have a stronger team than the Rossoneri, with more depths, but have a less defined game plan, with Danish midfielder Christian Eriksen clearly the spare part in the otherwise well-oiled machine.

AC Milan are currently top of the league table, even beating Inter in the derby 2-1 earlier this month.

When Inter are in possession the team are slow and play the ball sideways too much, heavily relying on 27-year-old Belgian striker Romelu Lukaku to hold up play and create chances.

Lukaku’s injury today means that Conte will need to find other solutions against Parma this evening, with the most likely being to start Ivan Perisic alongside Lautaro Martinez. The alternative is to start 21-yeart-old Italian Andrea Pinamonti.
