Italian journalist Paolo Condò spoke about Inter’s disappointing 2-2 draw against Parma earlier tonight when speaking with Italian broadcaster Sky Sports Italia after the game.

“Before the match we had said that these had to be either three points or three points. The draw that averts the crisis arrived at the end.”

He commented on how the Nerazzurri need to develop a new backup plan when 27-year-old Belgian striker Romelu Lukaku is not available.

“This game gives Inter a great doubt, if Lukaku is missing what do they do? Today plan B failed. It also gives Inter the need to do something great in Madrid to try and bring back some enthusiasm, that in my opinion, is waning.”

The Italian journalist was disappointed in the performance of 28-year-old Danish midfielder Christian Eriksen.

“I would have expected from Eriksen what Brozovic did when he came on, that is to take the ball and shoot. Eriksen is a great shooter but at Inter they don’t know that because he never shoots.”

Finally, Condò spoke about the decision not to give Inter a penalty when Croatian forward Ivan Perisic was fouled in the box.

“In my opinion we should go back to the initial spirit of VAR. If VAR sees that, then in this case they should call the referee and tell him to go and see it again.”

Inter will now need to bounce back ahead of their next game against Spanish giants Real Madrid in the Champions League next week.

Both sides have started the competition poorly, with neither finding a win from their first two games.

The game is incredibly important, as it will help further define the group standings and Inter’s possibility of qualifying for the next round.

The Nerazzurri’s next game in the league is against Atalanta next weekend.
