Both Alexis Sanchez and Romelu Lukaku trained separately from the Inter squad, due to their muscle injuries, according to a report from Italian broadcaster Sky Sports Italia earlier today.
The report details how the duo were both forced to miss the Nerazzurri’s 2-2 draw against Parma yesterday whilst recovering from the muscle issues.
Coach Antonio Conte was hoping to hear good news regarding the pair, but considering that both trained separately today from the squad, it is likely that neither will be fully fit in time for the upcoming Champions League clash against Real Madrid.
The Chilean forward is more likely to recover than his Belgian counterpart, but it is unlikely that either will start against Zinedine Zidane’s side.
Inter struggled to finish off their chances against the Gialloblu yesterday, with the absence of the former Manchester United forward heavily felt.
There is a chance that Lukaku may not even recover in time for next weekend’s clash against Atalanta.
