Inter forward Ivan Perisic has scored his first goal for the Nerazzurri in 536 days, according to a report from Italian media outlet FcInterNews earlier today.

The report details how the 31-year-old Croatian forward, who is contracted to the Milanese club until 2022, has not scored at the San Siro since the 13th May 2019, in the Nerazzurri’s 2-0 win over Chievo Verona.

The following summer, Perisic was sent out on loan to German side Bayern Munich, where he went on to win the Treble, scoring eight goals and providing 10 assists in that time.

Perisic has been mostly deployed as a left wing back by coach Antonio Conte this season but played alongside Lautaro Martinez up front against Parma due to an injury to Belgian forward Romelu Lukaku.

In the Croatian’s last season with Inter under coach Luciano Spalletti in the 2018/19 season, the 2018 World Cup finalist scored nine goals and provided eight assists in 45 appearances.
