Inter Coach Antonio Conte: “Important Game For Us & Real Madrid, We’ll See If Alexis Sanchez Starts”

Inter manager Antonio Conte has stressed the importance of the match to both sides ahead of tomorrow night’s Champions League group stage match away to reigning Spanish champions and 13 time Champions League winners Real Madrid.

“It is an important game for us as it is for Real, both of us aspire to move forward, it will be a tough match against a team equipped to win.

“History shows that but we are here to play the game with our weapons, trying to get a good final result,” he explained to Italian broadcaster Sky Sport Italia, which was broadcast a short time ago.

He was then asked whether he would sign up for a draw in tomorrow’s encounter against Los Blancos if offered it to which he responded: “I can’t sign for anything before even playing the game, we have to show that we have our own physiognomy and our own ideas.”

He was then asked about his opposite number at Real Madrid, Zinedine Zidane, someone he knows well from their playing days at Juventus together.

“It is useless to talk about him as a player, we all know him and for me it was a pleasure to play with him, what I remember is an exceptional person.

“In training we worked a lot and he was always the first, often talent is hidden and he was always at the front. I can only speak well of him.”

In conclusion he was asked whether or not Alexis Sanchez, who has been out injured lately, will play in the match that will be played at the Alfredo Di Stefano stadium due to refurbishment work being carried out on the Santiago Bernabeu.

“I can’t tell you who will play, he is back to training today, we’ll see.”

Real Madrid versus Inter is scheduled to kick off at 21:00 local time tomorrow.
