Inter central midfielder Arturo Vidal has admitted that he is happy to be at Inter and to be doing what manager Antonio Conte asks of him, even though he is now being played in a different role to the one he made his name in.

“I’m happy to be here and to do what the coach asks of me. Before, I scored a lot of goals, now I have to give my all, do what the coach asks and always putting the team first,” Vidal explained in the pre-match press conference ahead of tomorrow evening’s Champions League group stage match away to Real Madrid.

Next the Chilean national team player was asked what he remembers from playing against Real Madrid with Bayern Munich.

“I was very angry because if we had gone through from that tie we would have been able to win the Champions League, but tomorrow is another game, a challenge in which we have to give our all.

“I really want to win and we can fight to do it.”

In conclusion he was asked about Real Madrid manager Zinedine labeling the match as a final and how he sees the game against Los Blancos.

“For us, whether it’s in the league or the Champions League, all matches are like a final. Tomorrow will be a very intense match, it’s always nice to play a strong team like Real Madrid but for us, all the matches are like a final.

“It’ll be a good match against a team that I have faced several times, we have to give our all.”

Vidal joined Inter in the most recent Summer transfer window from Barcelona and his arrival at Inter came after a very very long courtship.

In his few months with the club, the former Bayer Leverkusen player has made eight appearances across all competitions to date but he is yet to make any goal contributions.
