Romelu Lukaku will miss tomorrow’s Champions League group stage match versus Real Madrid and is also at risk of missing this coming weekend’s Serie A match against Atalanta according to a report in today’s print edition of Italian daily newspaper Corriere dello Sport.
The Belgian national team forward picked up a thigh problem in the Champions League match against Shakhtar Donetsk last week and missed this weekend’s 2-2 draw at home to Parma.
The report from the Rome based news outlet goes on to explain that Alexis Sanchez is not in top condition but he has a chance of being able to at least make it onto the bench for tomorrow’s match. A decision on whether he will join the team in travelling to the Spanish capital will be made after today’s morning training session.
With Lukaku and Sanchez’s recent injury issues, it has left Inter manager Antonio Conte’s attack very weak and if problems remain, it is probable that Inter will move to bolster their attacking department in January.
