Romelu Lukaku is a doubt for Inter ahead of this weekend’s Serie A match away to Atalanta according to a report in today’s print edition of Italian daily newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport.

The Belgian national team player missed Inter’s 2-2 draw at home to Parma at the weekend and is also missing tonight’s Champions League group stage match away to Real Madrid due to a muscle injury.

The report from the Milan based news outlet goes on to state that Alexis Sanchez is not in top condition and for this reason Inter manager Antonio Conte will deploy Ivan Perisic in the attack again next to Lautaro Martinez in Lukaku’s absence.

Inter’s midfield against Los Blancos will meanwhile consist of Marcelo Brozovic and Arturo Vidal whilst Nicolo Barella will be utilised as an attacking midfielder.

The report goes on to conclude that Daniele Padelli will also be Inter’s substitute goalkeeper tonight. Although normal back-up Ionut Andrei Radu has now recovered from COVID-19, which forced him to miss Inter’s first two group stage matches, Inter have to wait a month before being able to re-register him.
