Radja Nainggolan will leave Inter in the upcoming January transfer window according to a report from Italian news outlet CalcioMercato.com.

The Belgian central midfielder wants to complete a return to Cagliari and the Rossoblu club are already at work trying to reach an agreement with Inter chief executive Giuseppe ‘Beppe’ Marotta over him.

The report goes on to explain that there is little chance that Fiorentina, who showed an interest in him during the last transfer window, will sign him.

Nainggolan has struggled for game time this season, with COVID-19 causing him to miss a number of Inter’s recent games. The former Roma player has been limited to just four substitute appearances across all competitions to date this term and in his time on the park he has failed to make any goal contributions.

Since joining Inter in 2018, Nainggolan has made 40 appearances in total, in which he has scored seven goals and tallied three assists.
