Italian Media Claim Ex-Inter Manager Spalletti Wants Every Last Penny Owed To Him By Inter

Former Inter manager Luciano Spalletti wants to get every last penny owed to him by Inter according to a report from the online edition of Italian daily newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport.

Spalletti was relieved from his duties as Inter manager at the end of the 2018/19 season but his contract with the club was not terminated and he is still on the club’s pay roll until the end of this season.

Fiorentina tried to gauge Spalletti’s interest in becoming their next manager via intermediaries and did the same with former Juventus boss Maurizio Sarri.

The report from the Milan based news outlet goes on to insist that former Roma manager Spalletti, who secured Champions League qualification for Inter in each of his two years in charge of the club, does not want to give up any of the money owed to him by Inter.

This is not the first time where he has been subject to interest from another club since leaving Inter. Prior to appointing Stefano Pioli, AC Milan showed an interest but Spalletti and Inter could not come to an agreement over a termination package due to him wanting everything owed to him.
